The Division Staff Officer will exercise responsibility and supervision over all matters pertaining to the Division's role in the Auxiliary Marine Safety and Environmental Protection activities and will keep the entire Division and division informed of all developments in this area. The individual will maintain close liaison with staff officers on District levels and will coordinate and cooperate with Division staff officers from every area to encourage appropriate outreach, training, and implementation of MS/MEP activities. This officer will provide assistance and support to environmental outreach programs, USCG MS/MEP missions, formulate emergency planning and response teams, create develop and participate in MS/MEP activities with other agencies, promote participation of MS/MEP activities to other members, and establish goals and objectives and prepare necessary plans to achieve them.
